Phillip A. Womack
After serving in the United States Army (honorably discharged), Mr. Womack immediately began his career in the field of Fingerprint Identification with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 1977 as a Fingerprint Examiner. In 1981 he continued his career in Florida when he was hired by the Miami-Dade Police Department as a Fingerprint Analyst 1. Throughout his career with Miami-Dade he was promoted several times holding positions as Fingerprint Analyst 2, Fingerprint Supervisor of the Master File/AFIS Unit, and Fingerprint Supervisor of the Latent Print Unit before retiring in 2008 after more than 30 years in this field. Because of his expertise in the current cutting edge Latent and AFIS technology, he was immediately recruited as a consultant with the Miami Beach Police Department. In addition, he worked with the City of Miami Police Department in the similar capacity. Mr. Womack has a degree from Miami-Dade College. Mr. Womack has completed all the basic and advanced fingerprint training programs offered over the course of his career and is considered an expert in the field of Fingerprint Identification.
Awards
Phillip has received numerous letters of commendation and service awards from Surfside Police Department, Miami Beach Police Department, City of Miami Police Department, Miami-Dade Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for his outstanding performance of duty.
